A game that my team (Team ARES) made during the 48h Game Jam event with a randomly generated game name "Viking Lego Shack". We were a team of 4 (2 artists and 2 programmers) and the game won 2nd place (out of 15 or so) so it was displayed at the Gamesderby
A short description of the game:
Endless 1-man shack defence. The player is a viking operating a catapult trying to protect his shack. The shack is full of women. Vikings are known for pillaging and... going for living shack contents. This is a well guarded shack, so the enemies are using Siege Rams and Towers. Even mountain giants from the Scandinavian mythology were included in the offence. The higher the power gauge, the more the damage and the longer the boulder flies. Once it touches the ground it's damage is reduced by half, so if the enemies are hit by a flying boulder they take more damage. Stronger enemies deal more damage to the player if they reach the shack, have more health, but also reward more points.
I made the team logo, modelled/textured/animated the lego vikings, modelled the shack and built the environment
We have loads more ideas for this game so we are most likely going to continue working on it in our spare time.
